SMN Magazine is the print companion to Shoot Me Now, an Online Entertainment Show featuring Canadian artists in Fashion, Film, and Music.
SMN is a multi-media concept with content covering the various aspects and genres of our growing entertainment communities, which collectively form Canada’s Creative Culture.
The launch of SMN Magazine marks the 6th Anniversary of Shoot Me Now. Over the years the production has seen some turbulent ups and downs. It has travelled coast to coast covering chaotic and captivating red carpet events, fantastic fashion festivals, and frantic photo-shoots while doing its best to stay true to live underground shows and concerts.
The articles in our Debut Issue consist of short introductions to the features, editorials, and chapters. Featured Editorials are centered on main episodes from past seasons. Every Issue is intended to be a Collector’s Issue, containing exclusive content crucial to ongoing editorials in future issues.

I’m still new to the “Fashion Scene”; my background is in traditional journalism and the indie music scene. So, when this subject came across my inbox, I didn’t really know where to start.Naturally, I have heard of fashion. However, I am a boy, and like most of the rest, I was not aware of the difference between fashion and glamour. After a little research online, it became obvious they were two different genres, but that’s where it starts to get confusing for me.What is the difference between Fashion and Glamour?
As far as I can tell, the focus of Fashion is on the fashion, the clothing, the designer, the jewelry, etc., whereas with Glamour the focus is on the model, on her curves, on the sex appeal of the image, etc. Is this it? Is the difference this straightforward?
Who, or what, defines Fashion as Fashion? The bag might be Prada, but does that make it Fashion? Is it still a Glamour shoot if the swimsuit is Victoria Secret or Roberto Cavalli? I think we are going to have to consult a few professionals on this one…

The world of Aqua di Lara has seen a few changes in this past year. Last year, SMN had the pleasure of attending a wonderful wedding on the water with designer Reyhan and her newly-wed husband, David.2010 also saw the launch a second swimsuit line by Reyhan. Making sexy more edgy. Quiss Quiss has succeeded in reinventing the traditional bathing suit for the cosmopolitan girl.With 2011 came the hunt for the new home, followed shortly by the exciting move into the new office and studio space.Yet through all of these changes, Aqua di Lara has managed to maintain its sophisticated approach to the sensual swimsuit, introducing a new collection following in line with her high fashion elegance, high quality, and form fitting fabrics.
